Service Project | Jordan River Floating Cleanup
Project Details:
Jordan River Canoe Cleanup
Join Riley Owen for Utah for an evening of service on the Jordan River! We’ll be partnering with the Jordan River Commission for a floating river cleanup, where volunteers will take to the water in canoes and help remove trash and debris from the river.
This is a great opportunity to spend time outdoors, serve our community, and help care for one of Utah’s important natural resources.
We will paddle a short section of the river and remove trash along the way. Expect a fun—and sometimes messy—experience.
Note: Previous paddling experience is recommended but not required.
What to Bring & Wear:
- Closed-toe shoes that you are okay getting wet and dirty
- Weather-appropriate clothing that you are okay getting wet and dirty
- Sun protection (hat, sunscreen, etc.)
- A reusable water bottle – we will provide a cooler for refills
Hogle Zoo will provide all necessary boating gear and tools for the event.
Please submit one registration per participant. Adult guardians may register children who are volunteering with them.
