  • Riley will advocate for expanded tax credits to businesses offering  6 weeks of Paid Maternity Leave.

  • Riley will fight for affordable housing through conditionalizing federal funding to localities implementing common-sense zoning reform.

  • Riley will sponsor legislation requiring age verification for social media use for ages 16+.

 

Common Sense Solutions to Governance

Riley believes that elected officials should serve the people, not themselves. There should be greater accountability for elected officials and a system that leads to a more representative government. Washington needs fresh faces, new ideas, and innovative approaches, not more career politicians. 

Riley Owen is building a system that supports ethical and fair governance.  

  • Riley will sponsor legislation to end congressional stock trading for members and staffers.

  • Riley will fight for a constitutional amendment to eliminate political corruption by overturning Citizens United AND establishing term limits of 6 for representatives and 3 for senators.

  • Riley will fix our broken immigration system by maintaining the rule of law while enabling our communities to prosper socially and economically.

Riley understands that a strong economy and a secure nation go hand in hand. Having helped manage America's industrial policy during its greatest stress test of the 21st century, Riley knows that what we build at home determines how safe we are abroad, and he will fight to ensure the next generation of Utahns can earn a living securing America's future. Riley also believes that America First does not mean America alone.

  • Riley will push for modernizing our military to reduce costs and prioritize attritable, unmanned systems over expensive legacy platforms.

  • Riley will push to modernize government software systems, integrating AI to eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse while streamlining service delivery.

  • Riley will build apprenticeship partnerships between Utah colleges and advanced manufacturers.
