Parade Details:

We'll be walking in the Taylorsville Dayzz parade and would love to have you walk with us and represent the Riley Owen campaign!

The check-in and pre staging area will be held on 5600 South, just west of Redwood Road. The road will be blocked off, and you should see the Taylorsville Dayzz pop-up. Please do not try to enter from 5400 South. These entrances will be blocked, and it is dangerous to have vehicles trying to drive through the staging area. Entrance to the check in area should be from 5600 South. Arrive by 7:30 and check-in only when all of the group is together. 

After checking in and at the direction of parade coordinators, entries will be moved from the pre staging area and put in the final position in line on 1900 West (which will be closed that morning for the parade). After lining up and as the parade begins, entries will be directed onto 5400 South westbound and follow the traditional route of the parade which will head west until 2700 South where it will turn north and head to Midwest Drive. The Parade DOES NOT end at the Library. A reunion area will be available between Midwest Drive (4835 South) and 4700 South. Parents will be able to meet or pick up their children in that area. Anyone needing to return to the staging area must loop around from 4700 South to Redwood Road and back to the parking area.

There will also be volunteers wearing orange vests who will be available to coordinate the start of the parade and answer questions. To avoid confusion and promote safety, only vehicles that will be participating in the parade will be permitted on 1900 West. Participants should be dropped off at the check in area on 5600 South.  Porta-potties are located at the corner of 5600 South and 1900 West and in the parking lot of Trolley Wing Restaurant.

The parade will begin at 9am before finishing roughly around 11am. We are expecting warm weather so please come dressed accordingly with good walking shoes, sunscreen, and sunglasses if preferred. We have a limited amount of campaign t-shirts that we will be distributing so if possible plan to wear red or other patriotic colors. Signs, banners, stickers, and buttons will be provided by our campaign to hand out as we walk along the campaign route. Taylorsville Dayzz 2026 is set for June 25, 26 and 27 at Valley Regional Park, 5100 S. 2700 West. It’s Taylorsville Dayzz’ milestone 30th year and as accustomed, the event will include a parade, petting zoo, carnival rides, food booths, concerts, 5K and FIREWORKS. Celebrate three decades alongside Taylorsville community members!
