Parade Details:

We'll be walking in the 4th of July Murray Fun Days and the West Jordan Stampede and would love to have you walk with us and represent the Riley Owen campaign!

Lineup of entries begins at 7:30 a.m. at the Northwest corner of Fashion Place Mall (6100 S State Street). Travels from 6100 S and State north to Vine St (turns east on Vine Street to 330 E entrance of Murray Park; ends at Hillcrest Jr. High). The parade will begin at 8:30am and will merge into the West Jordan parade around 10:30am. That should finish around 12:30 along Redwood Road (more details to follow).

We are expecting warm weather so please come dressed accordingly with good walking shoes, sunscreen, and sunglasses if preferred. We have a limited amount of campaign t-shirts that we will be distributing so if possible plan to wear red or other patriotic colors. Signs, banners, stickers, and buttons will be provided by our campaign to hand out as we walk along the campaign route. Community Spotlight:

Murray Fun Days was established in 1958 under the administration of Mayor Ray P. Greenwood, and is now Murray's long standing 4th of July tradition. It's a family day with a host of events in and around Murray Park.

West Jordan's Western Stampede extends from its nearly 80 years of rodeo history; no ifs, ands, or bucks about it. There’s been a rodeo nearly every year since 1959, along with parades, carnivals, tractor-pulling contests, demolition derbys and square dancing. The name “Western Stampede” appeared in the 80s, when the West Jordan Stampede Committee, a group appointed by the city, planned and conducted the 4th of July events. This year will be no different. There is something for everyone. Bingo, carnival rides, fireworks, food trucks, a classic rodeo and a modern drone show. Come get covered in some cowboy glitter (aka dirt!) and don’t buck this West Jordan tradition.
