Service Project | SLC Allen Park Cleanup
Project Details:
Salt Lake City Public Lands cleanup! Join a volunteer effort to help preserve and restore the historic Allen Park by completing various debris removal tasks.
We will join an effort with the Salt Lake City Public Lands team to beautify walkways and clear out plant material from around the historic buildings. Volunteers will be working in tall grass and thick bushes that may have thorns. Please wear LONG PANTS AND LONG SLEEVES. Tasks include but are not limited to: pruning, sweeping, raking, weeding, and lifting. This work is essential to preserving these historic structures and reducing the risk of fires in the area.
Additional Info:
- Volunteers will need to fill out a waiver on the SLC Volunteer page found here.
- There is no parking inside the park. Please plan accordingly to find nearby street parking and walk to the Volunteer Check-in location (Allen Lodge) inside.
- Enter the park on foot at the 1300S entrance. We will meet at Allen Lodge in the middle, then walk up to our project site on the east end of the park.
- Here is an exact Google Maps pin of where to meet: maps.app.goo.gl/6sYqs9j4EueK2nka8
