Riley Owen helps with his seven-generation family tradition
Late Friday night after returning from active duty military service, Riley drove straight from the airport to Central Utah to help his family with a seven-generation tradition: annual branding.
“We vaccinated and branded 200+ calves Saturday morning. I am by no means a cowboy like some in my family, but it did cause me to reflect on the generations before us. They worked hard to create a country and a way of life worth defending. We have that same responsibility, one generation at a time.”
Riley’s ancestors emigrated from Denmark in the 1860s and called Utah home. They worked hard and honored the land they lived off of. Seven generations later, this legacy is alive and well.
